Hello crafters! Today’s post is all about some Christmas cards I created for a donation to an amazing event called Artisan Fest. All New American is a non-profit supporting the American Artisanal small business economy with fuel, in the form of grants. This event, Artisan Fest 2017 is a local event to support artists all over the country. One of the organizers asked for a donation and I was thrilled to be a part of such an AH-mazing event. Want know more about this? Please go check them out www.allnewamerican.com. The artists and makers are incredibly talented.
Christmas Cards for a Cause
The basket of cards I put together has a total of 20 cards, I created 5 different designs and made four of each for a nice variety. In a crazy high tech world, a hand made Christmas card is a wonderful way to show someone you care! Not one person I know hangs an email on their refrigerator! Here is the basket I put together for the donation to Artisan Fest 2017.
And these are the card creations . . .
This Santa Sweater if from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog – Christmas Sweaters I colored the sweater in pool party with SU watercolor pencils and used some texture paste for his beard. The sentiment is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set. That gorgeous background is done with the Cable Knit 3D dynamic textured embossing folder from the SU 2017-18 Annual Catalog.
For a delightful twist, same stamp set, Christmas Sweaters, with a different color scheme and dazzling diamonds on Santa’s beard.
This sweet card was created with the Watercolor Words Stamp set from the current Holiday Catalog. This set was designed to coordinate with the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit, but I always try to step outside the box and go for something a little different. I just love the fancy font used in this set.
This charming little ornament comes from the Season of Whimsy stamp set. This exclusive set is only offered to Hosts! All you need to do is gather your friends, get creative and you can earn rewards – like this stamp set! Contact me for more details!Just look how scrumptious this background turned out! A bit of Lemon Lime twist ink watercolored onto the Shimmery White paper, sets the stage for this very non-traditional Christmas card.
And last but certainly not least, clean and simple design featuring the winter wonder textured impressions embossing folder. A small sentiment, “season of cheer” from the Watercolor Words set finishes the card.
Thanks for stopping by today! I truly hope you will take a moment to see what this organization is all about. If you are interested in knowing how I made these cards, stay tuned! Don’t forget to check out www.allnewamerican.com Also, I will be posting details & dimensions on each of these cards throughout the week. Have a fabulous weekend!
